Green Smoothies?


My sisters have been making smoothies for years now, for themselves and their kids. It is a great way to put fiber, protein, antioxidants, all that good stuff, into your body to start the day. When I was visiting my family this summer, we made one every morning and I got hooked. Here is how I like them:
1. Spinach: loaded with vitamins, like folic acid and vitamin k
2. Kale: fiber, antioxidants, vitamins. Add a tiny bit of water and blend until it's smooth. 3. Greek yogurt: protein and dairy . Since I make it for me and Kenzie, I use whole milk yogurt. Add things to make it taste good: blueberries, bananas, and a little bit of oj concentrate for taste. Blend and enjoy!

And then save some for her!

  1. So they don't really turn out green in the end so you can forget about that when you are actually drinking them, right? The fruit all sounds good to me, but the actual gren stuff, well, not so much. But I am sure the finished product does, because it sure looks good! ;) Good to see what yo are up to lately Stacey! :)
