Happy Hikers

Today was a very good sleeping day. I would say that Kenzie is now officially sleep trained. She went right down for her nap and only took about 5 minutes to go to bed. It was 8 and she wasn't showing that she was tired, but after crying a little, she laid down and mumbled to herself until she fell asleep.

You have no idea how good it feels to watch your baby figure life out. She is so smart! I can't believe after three days she learned how to fall asleep on her own. I am going to be a much happier mommy now with more sleep and less back pain. I told myself that once Kenzie was sleeping through the night again and I had energy back I would start working out to get ready to run a 5K. I wanted to run the one in American Fork, but it is only a couple of weeks away, so I will find one in June or so.

Speaking of exercise, carrying a 22 pound baby up a mountain will definitely get you sweating. Sean had the day off so we took a hike up in American Fork canyon early this morning. It was really misty and so by the end we were soaked! Kenzie fell asleep in her backpack on the way up, but on the way down she got really cold and wanted us to hold her. Next time, we need to put some gloves on the babe.
