Hopefully that was the roughest night! He woke up at 1am. I stuck to my plan and waited five minutes before going in and encouraging him to go back to sleep. That took him 30 mins of crying. I noticed he cried less when I would stay next to him instead of leave, so I would turn on some jungle sounds and pat him. Thirty mins felt like an eternity but he actually fell back to sleep!!!
We woke up again at 4:40. It was hard to not feed him because I kept thinking it had been eight hours since he ate. But I held firm. We did the same thing and he fell asleep in 30 mins.
He woke up again at 630! Finally morning! I turned the lights on and I picked him up. I came downstairs and nursed him. He almost fell asleep because of his long night, but I kept him awake. Since we were both still tired,I chose to put him back in bed. He went right to sleep, and when Kenzie woke up at eight, I woke up Kyle for the day.
I thought he did great putting himself back to sleep. Here comes night number two...
