Baby Nursery and Baby Shower

This weekend I drove down to Utah and spent a great three days with my family. On Thursday, I went to my sister Sherry's and helped dip strawberries into chocolate for the shower. My mom, Jen, her baby Garrett, Sophia, Madey, and Sherry went to lunch at Chili's.

On Friday, my mom papered me by taking my out for a pedicure and a prenatal massage! It was incredible! I think my ankles are really swollen, so every bit helps.

Saturday was the baby shower. I was so excited to see my old friends again and to have all the family over. Andrea drove down from Idaho, and everyone else lives in the area. The shower was beautiful. My sisters and mom have wonderful food and desserts. My decoration, my mom and sister Katrina made me a "diaper cake." It is rolled up newborn diapers!!! I'll be needing those soon. My sister Jen decorated my putting colorful marshmallows in candy dishes and sticking chocolate coverd strawberries and oreo-cream cheese balls on a stick in them. I don't have pictures of it...shoot...but it looked amazing. A few of my friends from highschool came and all the relatives that live in Utah. Some ladies from my parent's ward came also. After a while, I started opening presents. We got so so many nice things! We got millions of clothes, decorations for the nursery, a bouncing chair/swing, quilts, toys, etc. Everyone was so generous! My mom and dad were extra sweet and got us many fun things to decorate.
Wall decorations!
This is a binki balloon that Jen brought!
Here is the crib all set up!
It has a cute skirt, rug, sheets, and comforter.
It also has a soft edging that ties around the crib. So CUTE!
Stuffed animals for baby. The bear was used to practice putting on a diaper and a onsie. Sean is getting better.
I love the mobile. It plays a lullaby as it spins the butterflies! So many people made us blankets. They are all so soft and beautiful.
The walls are covered with polka dots and butterflies. I still need to put the curtain up.

My mom had her friend make this quilt to match the nursery. The butterflies are 3D. We put it up on the wall and will keep it as a keepsake!
This is the changing table that Sean's mom and dad got us. They got us those pink organizers also. I spent hours putting things into groups and sizes. Everything is ready to go. That is the diaper cake on top. Clothes galore!
Full of newborn diapers.

This is the awesome swing we got that turns into a bouncer. It plays 15 sounds and also vibrates. We will be using this a lot.

We are so blessed to have such sweet friends and family help us out! We are getting more and more excited as we count down the days.

  1. SO CUTE!!! I bet that feels good to have her room ready. It was really fun to see you. You'll have a lot of late nights in that room so I'm glad it's so pretty. Love you. Good luck with the next few weeks. :) Sherry
